Garden hose holders are convenient for keeping hoses conveniently nearby, yet out of the way of lawn mowers and foot traffic. They are typically made of plastic, aluminum, bronze or other durable materials. Most are wall mount but there are also free standing models which have a post you push into the ground. They are also sometimes called "Hose Butlers."
Prices range from under ten dollars for cheap plastic utilitarian ones to closer to a hundred dollars for fancier ones made of French bronze for example.
Hoses lying all over the place typically don't add to the aesthetic appeal of your lawn or garden, and not surprisingly garden hose holders are available in many different styles to complement your outdoor decor. They include decorative models with butterflies, chickadees, frogs and more, yet they all basically work as well as each other.
Your local hardware, department, or gardening store will
typically have a selection available, however you may need to visit several
stores if you're looking for just the right one. One friend took over a
year trying to locate just the perfect one for her patio garden, and finally had
a beautiful one made by a local blacksmith. For a great selection of Garden Hose Holders,

We have one both in the front and the rear of the house near the water spigots and are considering placing on in the garage for winter storage of one of our shorter hoses. The one in the back of the hose is simple and basic but it works. No one ever sees it but us. The one in the front is a pretty green cast aluminum hose holder with a leave motif that blends perfectly with the plants.
